Two people died this Thursday morning when the plane they were traveling in crashed in a forested area between the Brazilian cities of Ribeirão Pires and Rio Grande da Serra, on the northern outskirts of Sao Paulo.

Residents of the Barro Branco area in Rio Grande da Serra told reporters that they were scared when they heard a very loud plane noise, and when they went out of their house to find out what it was, they saw the plane flying at low altitude. close to the roofs.

The plane, which crashed in the forest near Teresinha Arnone Castellucci street, in the countryside on the border between the two cities of Greater Sao Paulo, took off a few minutes from Campo de Marte airport, in the northern zone of Sao Paulo. heading to the city of Presidente Wenceslau, 630 km from the capital Sao Paulo.
However, shortly after takeoff, the plane left its planned route and crashed into a forest a few minutes later.
At the time of the fall, it was raining heavily and strong gusts of wind were blowing, which may have contributed to the disaster.
When firefighters, alerted by residents of the region, managed to reach the plane, they could no longer do anything for the two passengers.
