The family of Patricia Simonetti has not identified the body of a woman found decomposed and with signs of crime in a well in Ovara last week. The sister of Thomas Simonetti, Patricia’s husband, who was called to identify the body, assured the Aveiro judicial panel that she did not identify the corpse as that of her daughter-in-law Patricia, 43, who disappeared in Ovara on the 4th. Autopsy reports will be needed to identify the body and establish the circumstances under which the woman found in the well, aged between 30 and 40, died.
The body was discovered by the owner of the well under highly suspicious circumstances. There were deep wounds on the face consistent with an assault. He had two women’s bags full of stones hanging around his neck, and a sports bag, also full of stones, was tied to his waist, tied with a sheet. He was wearing gloves and wearing a dark blue work uniform.
According to Thomas Simonetti, the relationship with his wife deteriorated due to the fact that Patricia did not want to have children.
