Livre Pelo Porto list leader Jorge Pinto guaranteed that the party would be a “blocking force” against the far right. This message was accompanied by Setubal’s number one, Paulo Muacho, who recalled that “the far right is not inevitable.”
These positions were left by the two candidates in the early legislative elections in March at the XIII Congress of the Free, which ends this Sunday in Porto.
“Contrary to what I have heard from some comrades here, I am afraid because I know that the far right insults, attacks and kills. But this fear will not make us take a step back. We will be a blocking force for the far right. …I will not take a step back in all that we have achieved and what we will achieve,” defended Jorge Pinto, who heads Porto’s list.
