More than 20,000 police officers took part this Wednesday in the demonstration in Porto, organized by the platform of trade unions PSP and associations GNR, as the organization announced on Avenida dos Aliados, declaring that it was the largest demonstration ever.
The crowd, occupying half an avenue in the center of Porto, started at around 18:20 from the PSP Porto Metropolitan Command to complete a route that eventually extended from Rua 31 de Janeiro to Aliados, where they had to wait for about half an hour until the column just arrived .
In the middle of the demonstration, information was received that for the first time in demonstrations of this kind, guard officers were included in the column, and this situation was confirmed to Luse by the president of the Association of Professional Security Guards, Cesar Nogueira.
