The first judicial interrogation of the members of the Super Dragoins detained as part of Operation Praetorian is scheduled for this Wednesday at 14:00 at the Porto Criminal Investigation Court. The prosecutor’s office emphasizes the dangers of continuing criminal activity, disruption of the investigation, social anxiety and escape.
Fernando Madureira, head of the FC Porto support team, received a standing ovation upon his arrival at the site. PSP had to beef up police on the ground.
The remaining 10 accused, most of them with their faces covered, were also greeted with great euphoria by Porto fans upon their arrival.
On Wednesday, Fernando Madureira, his wife Sandra Madureira and ten other members of Super Dragões were arrested as a result of the PSP mega-operation. Police seized several weapons and drugs, a safe with 50 thousand euros, three high-end cars of Fernando Madureira, as well as computer equipment and clothing items.
The investigation focuses on attacks recorded at the Porto FC general assembly on November 13 and threats against the club’s presidential candidate André Villas-Boas.
