North American rapper Killer Mike was arrested on Sunday after the Grammy Gala, where he won three awards, in Los Angeles, the newspaper reported. Associated Press.
Mike, 48, was dragged from the Crypto.com Arena, where the ceremony was taking place, by police in handcuffs. Authorities say the artist was arrested for disrespect inside the pavilion at 16:00 local time (00:00 Portugal time).
The rapper was released more than four hours later and will appear in court on February 29. Mike has won three Grammy Awards: one for Best Rap Performance, one for Best Rap Song, and one for Best Rap Album.
“When I was 20, I thought it was cool to be a drug dealer. At 40, I began to live with remorse for everything I had done. At 45, I started writing songs about my life. At 48 years old, I am here as a person full of empathy. and sympathy for everything I’ve done,” he said in one speech during the ceremony.
