A historic storm that has hit California in recent days has left three people dead, landslides at Hollywood Hills mansions and a power outage that left a million people without power.
The deaths were caused by accidents involving falling trees during the second storm in a week caused by a weather phenomenon called an atmospheric river. It is estimated that around 257 trees fell completely or partially due to the heavy rain.
“We will send help as soon as you ask for it,” President Joe Biden said during a news conference in Los Angeles with Mayor Karen Bass, who placed her cellphone next to a microphone. “Just tell me. That’s why I’m calling,” the president assured.
