Ines Sousa Real wants public transport passes to be free for all Portuguese by 2028. The PAN leader presented this Saturday an election program that once again insists on a change in the Portuguese paradigm when it comes to the environment, animals and the well-being of the Portuguese people.
Among other suggestions, the leader spoke of the importance and need for a “vision inspired by a green future” to ensure that beautification of the area is not carried out for the sake of economic interests, but taking into account environmental interests. The leader called for a focus on renewable energy to combat energy poverty and recalled marine biodiversity, which has been little explored in Portugal.
PAN also demonstrated the priority of restoring the zero VAT rate on essential goods, a community development network until 2026, and a review of the Porta 65 program and related housing funds.
“Voters know they can count on PAN to stand up for them, to be the party of people, animals and nature. Our program is very effective in a variety of areas, in PAN’s three main areas of focus we know it is fundamental. We are fighting the phenomenon of the socio-economic crisis that the country is experiencing and providing relief from the tax burden for citizens,” said Ines Souza Real at the presentation of the People Animals Nature (PAN) election program, in Porto.
The program entitled “Agenda 24-28”, with which the PAP is presenting itself in the legislative elections on March 10, aims to create a “more cohesive” country with a minimum wage at the end of the legislature of 1,100 euros, in which public money is “directed to where it is needed” and where no one has to “choose between paying for food or paying for the pharmacy.”
The proposals of the party, led by Ines Sousa Real, are divided into 11 axes, which include proposals on housing, mobility, health, education, environment and nature protection, animal welfare, the economy, human rights, justice, democracy and foreign policy.
