During the second meeting, leaders discussed major global challenges and how to coordinate allies’ responses to them, with Italy presiding over the G7.
Meloni, who also visited the White House in July 2023, said the crisis in the Middle East was “extremely troubling,” stressing the need to “work together on concrete measures to guarantee a two-state solution, the only sustainable solution to the problem.” long-term.”
Italy’s prime minister also proposed creating a “global alliance against human traffickers” as part of efforts to stop the illegal arrival of migrants.
