The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, twice confused Ukraine with the Gaza Strip when this Friday he announced humanitarian aid for Palestinian victims of the war between Israel and Hamas, according to The keeper.
Biden mentioned that food would be airlifted to Ukraine, although he was actually referring to the Gaza Strip. The mistake prompted White House officials to correct the president.
“In the coming days, we will join our friends in Jordan and other countries who are airlifting more food and cargo to Ukraine. (…) The United States will seek to continue to open other routes to Ukraine, including the possibility of creating a maritime corridor. “Deliver large volumes of humanitarian aid. In addition to expanding ground supplies, we will insist that Israel provide more trucks and more routes so that more and more people get the help they need,” Joe Biden said.
“The aid arriving in Gaza is insufficient and almost insufficient. The lives of innocent people and the lives of children are at risk. We are not going to sit idly by until more help arrives. We should receive hundreds of trucks, not just a few,” the president added.
This Saturday, US warplanes parachuted approximately 38,000 meals over the Gaza Strip. This is humanitarian aid that arrived two days after more than 110 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli army while boarding aid trucks.
