The 32-year-old man heard that the preventive measure was imposed after PSP Aveiro brought him to criminal court for kidnapping another man. The victim, about 30 years old, managed to escape from the defendant’s house completely naked and took refuge in a police station near the Grine district.
The crime happened early Monday morning when the accused lured the victim to the house under the pretext of a cocaine deal. Once in the room, he forced her to undress. We are talking about a dispute about missing medicines.
Around 4:00 am, the victim managed to escape and seek help from the police. When authorities detained the suspect, they found the victim’s clothing, wallet and cellphone.
The defendant was released on parole for crimes against people and property. He faces charges of petty drug trafficking, robbery, coercion and kidnapping.
The suspect is being held in Aveiro prison.
