Judge Nuno Matos, recently elected chairman of the board of the Association of Portuguese Trade Unions (ASJP), believes that justice reform must be carried out at the legislative level, but also considers issues related to the implementation of this function.
Speaking to Lusa on the occasion of the ASJP governing body elections for the three-year period 2024-2027, which took place on Saturday, Nuno Matos emphasized this Sunday the “vitality” of the association, as evidenced by the active participation in the elections.
“It was an extremely competitive election; no one can remember so many judges voting in a union election. It is clear that new technology has also helped, as electronic voting has been carried out for the first time, making the task much easier. a very good sign of the viability of ASJP,” he said.
