ASAE suspended five establishments and opened two criminal proceedings in an operation that inspected 225 food operators “from around the world” and convenience stores and seized 25 tonnes of food.
In a statement released this Monday, the Food and Economic Security Administration (ASAE) said it had carried out a nationwide operation targeting “trade establishments selling food products from various regions of the world and stores open after hours” where availability , the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
Based on the results of the inspection, the State Administration of State Administration, through regional divisions, opened two criminal proceedings “on the facts of the assessment of food products and violations and illegal use of the name (DOP) and 89 cases of administrative offenses.”
Among the main reasons for initiating a case of an administrative offense are the lack of direct preliminary communication, non-compliance with general and special hygienic requirements, and failure to comply with HACCP requirements.
