A man believed to be in his 30s died on Tuesday afternoon on Rua Soeiro Pereira Gomes in Vila Franca de Xira. The cause of death is being determined by the judicial police. Within minutes of the discovery of the body, an elderly woman was robbed and suffered injuries that required her to be hospitalized, which may have been related to the first incident.
ABOUT CM determined that the presence of a man’s body on a public road was discovered around 4:30 p.m. Firefighters and employees of Vila Franca de Xira PSP were immediately called to the scene.
The man was home alone, and the first impression was that he had jumped from the fifth floor.
However, our newspaper established that the crew of the medical car of the Vila Franca de Xira hospital, having ascertained the death of the victim, discovered an injury to the back of his head of an unknown nature. However, the man’s body did not have any injuries typical of a fall from a height.
Therefore, given the doubts raised by the death, the judicial police were called to the scene.
However, approximately five minutes after the body was discovered, a robbery occurred on a nearby public road. The victim was an elderly woman who was left without her belongings. She also required assistance from firefighters and was taken to the Vila Franca de Xira hospital. Locally this incident is linked to the previous one.
At 19:00 the man’s body remains on the public road while the judicial police take the necessary measures.
