Russia reportedly violated Polish airspace during a cruise missile attack on Ukraine early Sunday morning. Reuterswith reference to the Polish armed forces.
Russia launched 57 missiles and drones at the capital Kyiv and the western region of Lviv, located near the border with Poland.
“On March 24 at 4:23 a.m. there was a violation of Polish airspace by one of the cruise missiles launched at night by long-range aviation of the Russian Federation,” the Armed Forces reported on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
“The object entered Polish space near the city of Osierdow (Lublin Voivodeship) and remained there for 39 seconds. During the entire flight it was observed by military radar systems,” they wrote.
According to the agency, the Polish Foreign Ministry assured that it would ask Russia for an explanation regarding the airspace violation.
