According to the GNR, 56 people were also arrested for driving without a legal licence.
In total, the State Police identified 2,913 violations of traffic rules, 642 for speeding, 455 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 153 for lack of compulsory civil liability insurance and 76 for anomalies in lighting and alarm systems.
The action, carried out by troops from the Territorial Command and the National Road Service, also identified 69 drivers improperly using a mobile phone while driving and 85 cases of missing or incorrect use of seat belts and/or child seats.
The security guard advises people to be alert, careful and careful while driving to ensure the festive period can be enjoyed safely.
To travel safely this holiday season, the GNR advises, among other things, to “adapt speed to weather conditions, road conditions and traffic volumes” and “avoid maneuvers that could result in traffic obstruction or that in any way could cause to accidents.”
