Former presidential candidate Thiago Mayan Gonsalves said this Monday that when the elections take place in Illinois, he will be ready to run for leadership, presenting, together with two hundred liberals, a manifesto to rebuild the party.
At a hotel in Lisbon, Tiago Mayan Gonçalves presented under the motto “Unity for Liberalism” a manifesto of “courage, innovation and freedom”, the first promise of which is to “refound the party on liberal values and principles” and “to present a strong and charismatic leadership “truly liberal.”
“If I am here before you, it is because I will be willing to accept all the consequences of what is expressed here. (…) When the election period comes, I will be ready, if necessary, and have the team to do it, I will be ready to nominate a candidate for leadership,” he responded at the insistence of journalists.
