A group of four men who managed to steal 20 luxury cars in just four hours from a locked garage in Camarata, behind Lisbon airport, reportedly carried out a “test robbery” at the same location about two weeks ago. At that time, you know CMseized four cars at night without being detected.
According to police sources, the success of this first robbery encouraged the group to act more boldly. Early on Sunday morning, between 1:30 and 5:00, they managed to escape behind the wheel of 20 cars in the care of Redpark, which refused to provide an explanation for the case. How they got away, left the cars and returned to get more without being noticed remains to be seen.
According to the National PSP Office, 18 of the 20 vehicles – Mercedes, Tesla, Jaguar, Volvo, Audi, BMW and others – had been recovered by Monday evening. They were stopped on the streets of Amadora and Pontigny. Two of the stolen cars have not yet been found. None of the attackers have yet been identified or arrested.
