Judicial police detained at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon a man wanted by Spanish justice for drug trafficking crimes. The detainee was on a flight from China and is a member of a criminal organization.
According to the joint venture, the man is accused of using two warehouses to intensively grow cannabis between June and October 2020, at the height of the pandemic, which was then distributed to several European countries or sold directly to local buyers. Thanks to this scheme, he managed to obtain high illegal income. Now he can be sentenced to a sentence of 4 years 6 months to 10 years in prison.
The detainee appeared before the Lisbon Court of Appeal, which ordered him to await extradition proceedings in pre-trial detention.
