A 16-year-old girl ran away from home and was found living with a registered sex offender in Michigan, US, police said this Thursday. FoxDetroit.
This Wednesday, local police received an alert from Virginia authorities who found a young woman in the home of a 26-year-old man with a criminal history after searching the home.
The assailant told authorities that he knew the young woman was missing but allowed her to stay with him.
She was taken home safely, and the man was detained.
Authorities do not know the nature of the connection between them.
According to agents, the man had already been arrested for a sexual offense against a minor under 13 years of age.
