The body of an elderly woman aged between 80 and 85, who had been missing for more than three months, according to neighbors, was discovered by the NDP and firefighters in the house where she lived in Aljos Vedros, Moita.
The warning was made by a neighbor and friend of the elderly woman at 8:30 am this Saturday.
“She was worried that she had not seen her friend since at least January and alerted GNR,” an official source at GNR told the CM.
GNR resources and firefighters from Moita were transferred to a building on Rua Gil Eanes in Aljos Vedros.
“It was possible to get into the house only through a window. The body was found in a state of severe decomposition in one of the rooms of the house,” explained the same source.
The body, the same GNR spokesman added, could only be removed from the scene after the presence of a health delegate who would arrive from Lisbon.
“There is no evidence of a crime,” he concluded.
