Nine people were injured in a fire that broke out in a building in Praceta Primeiro de Mayo in Monte Abraana early on Saturday morning. The most serious victim is a woman.
The fire started in the basement and quickly spread to the floors of the building. ABOUT CM received images showing flames and signs of destruction.
TO CM Residents and firefighters have reported moments of panic during the work.
The injured were taken to the Santa Maria, Fernando Fonseca and Francisco Xavier hospitals.
The Queluz, Belas and Barcarena fire brigades, as well as the PSP and INEM, were mobilized to the scene. The alarm came in around 1:15 p.m.
