Two young men, aged 17 and 27, were arrested by the Judicial Police (PJ) on suspicion of robbing pizza distributors on a public street in Seixal. According to the department, the facts date back to November and December last year, and the suspects used firearms to commit the crime.
The robbers and a third, as yet unidentified, element stole money and goods from two couriers and also attempted to rob a third courier.
The detainees, one of whom already has a previous conviction for a similar crime, will undergo a first judicial interrogation for the application of coercive measures deemed appropriate. They are charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, one count of attempted aggravated robbery and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon.
Authorities are investigating to identify and find the third perpetrator.
