An accident between a bicycle and a carriage in the Porto metro this Sunday seriously injured one person in Rio Tinto, a source in the subregional directorate of emergency management and civil defense of the Porto metropolitan region told Lusa.
According to the same source, the accident occurred near the Venda Nova station, the alarm was announced at 12:05, 11 operational personnel and five vehicles were mobilized (two vehicles from the Areos fire department, PSP, an ambulance from the Doctor of the National Emergency Institute aid and ambulance and resuscitation from São João).
According to a source at the Areos fire department, the victim was treated at the scene, but his condition was considered serious and he was taken to Santo Antonio Hospital.
Traffic on line F (orange) of the Porto metro has been interrupted, reports the subregional command of the Porto agglomeration.
