The head of the Israeli military secret services, Aharon Haliva, resigned this Monday due to the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
“The Secret Service department failed to cope with the task assigned to us. As I carried out my duties, I knew that with power comes great responsibility,” said Aharon Khaliwa in a letter announcing the reform, quoted Haaretz. Shortly after the attack, in October 2023, Khaliwa took “blame” for not preventing the Hamas attack.
