Autoeuropa workers will vote on Tuesday and Wednesday on the administration’s proposal to maintain a preliminary labor agreement for the next three years, which they rejected on April 3 but which now only lasts for two years.
The proposal by management at the Volkswagen car plant in Palmela, Setubal district, retains all the benefits provided for in the preliminary agreement, including a 6.8% wage increase in 2024 and a minimum increase of 2.6% in 2025. or 0.6% higher than the average inflation of the previous year.
The proposal, which will be put to a referendum, also provides for an annual target bonus, which, according to the Working Committee (WC), could provide an average of more than 2,500 euros to each worker, as well as a single bonus, which will be awarded in 2025 in the amount of a month’s salary for launch of the new hybrid model T-Roc, which will be produced from next year at Autoeuropa.
On April 3, 3,932 workers (57.7%) rejected the preliminary labor agreement and only 1,645 (41.8%) voted in favor of the document for the next three years.
