South Korean authorities on Tuesday blamed North Korean groups for computer attacks on at least a dozen South Korean defense industry companies over the past year and a half.
South Korea’s National Police Agency said the data was collected as part of a series of investigations into the growing cyber threat and repeated attacks on government organizations linked to the military industry.
In an attempt to “steal technology,” the attacks were carried out by three major North Korean IT groups – Lazarus, Andariel and Kimsuki – according to a police statement published by South Korean news agency Yonhap.
