According to the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) and local authorities, more than ten thousand people demonstrated this Saturday in Madrid, demanding that Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez not resign.
Thousands of people gathered this morning outside the PSOE national headquarters in Madrid with party flags and placards with phrases such as “Yes, carry on” or “Pedro, don’t give up”, in response to a call from socialist leaders to mobilize and hold public demonstrations in support leader of Spain’s party and government, who said on Wednesday he was considering resigning.
The demonstration was attended by about 10,000 people, according to the PSOE, and about 12,500, according to the government delegation of the Autonomous Community of Madrid (the organization that authorizes the demonstrations and organizes security measures).
