“I experienced very strong psychological terrorism.” Today Ana breathes a sigh of relief, but she lived in “real hell” for a year and nine months while her daughter was in a boarding school ordered by the family and juvenile court in Oliveira do Bairro. Institutionalization was based on the strained relationship between the parents, without mention of any risk to the child’s life. The nine-year-old girl was released in March after the Supreme Court ruled on habeas corpus.
“My daughter is traumatized by this, and I’m going to sue the state for this whole situation,” Ana says. In July 2022, the court decided to place her in a specialized institution. “The judge said it was either the institution or they were going to adopt her,” Ana explained. The daughter was supposed to be placed in an institution only until the beginning of February this year, but she continued to be in this regime, which therefore became illegal.
“This is victory. I hope I don’t have to go through this hell anymore. It was very emotional bringing my daughter home,” he said. The interview will be broadcast today at 21:30 on the program “Investigação CM”. CMTV.
