The victim, a 28-year-old woman with a cognitive deficit, was placed to beg in several hypermarkets in Penafiel, Marco de Canaveses and Vila Nova de Gaia, and all the money collected was handed over to the detainees at the end of the day,” refers to a press release from the judicial police (PJ) released this Friday.
“In the same context, taking advantage of his cognitive impairment, one of the defendants, having appropriated the abilities of cartomancy and clairvoyance, persuaded the victim to have sexual intercourse under the pretext of improving his personal life in this way,” the note also mentions. . . .
The victim was admitted to a shelter for victims of the crime of human trafficking.
The detainees, a woman and a man, aged 56 and 44, unemployed and construction workers, respectively, live in an actual union and are left at large, with presentations and a ban on contact with the victim.
