According to the same source, the first alert about the 72-year-old man’s disappearance was issued around 4:00 pm on Tuesday, after which medical centers and other organizations who may have found the missing man were contacted.
As the hours passed, the search expanded and resources on the ground increased, he added.
According to this military unit, the GNR currently has three kinesthetic teams (with dogs) and one with “drones” that search the area.
The National Directorate of Civil Protection, which supported the operation, said on its website at 1pm that there were 43 militants and 13 vehicles on the scene.
