Chloe Quick, a 23-year-old woman, was admitted to hospital in Turkey after undergoing stomach surgery to lose weight.
According to Mirror, after the operation, the woman began bleeding unexpectedly and lost consciousness. Doctors discovered that Chloe had a damaged spleen and were forced to perform emergency surgery.
The additional medical bill as a result of the second intervention reached 5808 euros. Chloe can’t pay and is stuck in the hospital.
The young woman’s friend, Leah Mattson, created a GoFundMe page to help the family cover the costs of additional medical bills. The latest update revealed that doctors in Turkey are charging an extra £300 (about €348) for a blood transfusion.
“How will the expenses end?” – a friend wrote.
