A plane of the Brazilian airline Latam was forced to make an emergency landing at the international airport of Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, this Monday due to an engine failure. There were no injuries, Latham said.
Flight LA 3008 took off from Congonhas Airport in the south of Sao Paulo, destination Brasilia. However, shortly before landing, the pilot informed the airport of the federal capital that one of the plane’s engines had failed.
MSafety measures were taken, including sending several fire engines to the track, but nothing was needed. The device landed safely, even with one of the engines stopped, and then was towed to the passenger disembarkation area.
However, according to Latham, the captain warned passengers about the engine problem, but there was no panic on board. None of the passengers or crew spoke to the press when the plane touched down shortly after 1:30 pm local time and 5:30 pm in Lisbon.
