The re-elected president of the Mozambican National Resistance (Renamo), Ossufo Momade, assured this Friday that he has the remaining candidates who were vying for the leadership of the largest opposition party in Congress and that “no one can be left behind.”
“First of all, I want to thank you for the trust you have placed in Ossufo Momada. Thank you and I promise to work with everyone. With all candidates. So that you can join us, no one can be left behind,” said Ossufo Momade, speaking at the congress early this Friday morning, after the official results were announced in which he won the internal elections with 57% of the votes among nine candidates.
“We all must work together (…) From today I will work with everyone, I will not discriminate against anyone. There are no opponents, no enemies, but there is internal democracy,” he added.
