In addition to Rio do Sul, most of whose neighborhoods were flooded due to the rise of the Itajaí River and which was the first municipality to declare a state of emergency, the cities of Passo de Torres, Sombrio, São João do Sul, Balneario Gaivota It Jacinto Machado, Maracaja and Ararangua also made a statement. Other towns that did not declare an emergency but were heavily damaged by the hurricane were Vitmarsum, Lontras and São Bento do Sul.
