The Home Secretary returns this Thursday to a meeting with the PSP unions and GNR associations about the addition to the mission, after presenting a new proposal a week ago that angered the police.
This is the third negotiating meeting between Margarida Blasco and six public security police unions and five National Republican Guard associations, which have already announced an end to negotiations and a return to protests if the government does not present a proposal that meets the expectations of police officers.
Last week, the Home Office proposed a new mission allowance of between €521 and €730 and an end to the current security force service and risk allowance, introducing a minimum guarantee clause of €150 for positions where this percentage does not guarantee a salary increase.
