Millionaires from North America continue to want to visit the Titanic wreck even after the disaster with the OceanGate submersible Titan, which sank on June 18, 2023.
Despite the five deaths, there are those who still spend hundreds of thousands of euros to visit the depths of the oceans, reports the Daily Mail.
One of the companies that still carries out such expeditions, including to the Titanic wreck site, is Triton. Operators say the submersibles are safer than the Titan, which has been criticized for lacking an official safety certificate.
Triton submarines have been used in the past for the “world’s deepest dive” on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef in July 2023 with British biologist Sir David Attenborough. This year, Triton submarines were used on expeditions to the Mariana Trench, the Great Barrier Reef and the Arctic Ocean.
But, according to Daily mailThe company refused to say how much the trip on the Titanic costs and when this expedition will take place.
