An Algerian man who managed to free himself from handcuffs and escape from the Rua da Prata police station in Lisbon on Saturday evening was detained by the PSP while asking for food at a facility supporting homeless people in Rua da. Bemformoso, near the Church of the Angels.
According to CM Along with an official PSP source, the man, who was considered dangerous, may have noticed the presence of PSP elements while in the facility and tried to escape again.
A man was arrested on Saturday morning after robbing a tourist on Rua do Ouro in Lisbon. He stole money and credit cards from his wallet. The man was intercepted and detained by PSP agents on Rua de Sant Julian. Later, at 17:30, the man was about to be transferred to the Lisbon Metropolitan Police station in Moscavida, but he managed to evade the agents and escape.
The detainee will be taken to the cells of the Moscovid command of the PSP and will appear in court on Monday.
