Activists from the environmental group Just Stop Oil vandalized the famous prehistoric structure of Stonehenge in England this Wednesday by painting it orange. According to Reuters, two people were arrested on suspicion of damaging the monument.
Video released by the group shows two protesters running towards two Stonehenge stones and splashing paint while another person tries to stop them.
The monument, located in the south of England, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the country’s most visited tourist attractions.
The group demands that the British government stop extracting and burning oil, gas and coal by 2030.
