They met unpretentiously and eventually realized that they were connected by a tragic coincidence of circumstances. Magali de Oliveira and Edgar Campos, 41 and 46 years old respectively, lost their fiancés at different stages of their lives in a motorcycle accident on the same avenue in Minas Gerais, Brazil. At first they talked about business. She was a banker and he was a bank client. But the moment came when, having understood each other, they began to develop feelings for each other. On Saturday, almost six years after they met, they got married. “We were united by pain, and it is the love that we have learned to develop for each other that keeps us together,” the woman says.
As the newspaper explains G1Magali was the first to experience this traumatic experience. In 2004, when she was 21, she lost the man she planned to marry. Edgar experienced the same situation nine years later.
Always correct in his accounts, Edgar liked to make payments in advance, and Magali was responsible for sending documents for payment.
Their love interest became apparent after Magali mistakenly sent a message with a kiss emoji. Edgar wasted no time and started talking to the woman, who until that moment was just a bank employee.
“She sent me a heart and a kiss emoji and I replied with three. After that day I tried to find out if she was single and started trying to start a relationship. I invited her to spend the day in a city restaurant and Since then I asked her to travel together. As soon as we returned from that trip, we were more united than ever since then,” says Edgar.
As they got to know each other better, Magali and Edgar realized that in addition to their similar tragic experiences, they also had several things in common. They are avid travellers, BBQ enthusiasts and enjoy country life.
For Magali and Edgar, the love they have built together is proof that soul mates do exist. “This is a dream come true. I feel blessed to be able to share my life with such a wonderful, special person. God is perfect in everything,” says Magali.
