Denmark and Slovenia qualified for the last 16 of the 2024 European Football Championship on Tuesday after a Group C matchday three that ended in two-0 draws.
The second-placed Danes, who faced tournament hosts Germany, drew 0-0 with Serbia, who were eliminated in last place, while the Slovenians “cancelled” England, who had already qualified and won their group.
England have five points compared to three for Denmark and Slovenia, who are level on all points, with the Scandinavian nations having won the 2022/23 Nations League final tie-break, and two for Serbia, who are making their first appearance since Yugoslavia.
In the “eighth” place, Denmark and Slovenia join Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, England, the Netherlands, France, Austria and Portugal.
