In this adventure of survival, he lost 13 kilograms. He only had scissors and a flashlight with him. He was sleeping on a bed of leaves and ran away from a wild animal, which he recognized as a cougar.
McClish said he called for help many times, but despite everything he felt “comfortable” and confident of a happy ending. On June 11, he left the house for a walk, but ended up getting lost. He did not notify anyone, and as a result, it was only five days later that he was reported missing.
It was Father’s Day (which was June 16th) and it was strange for the family not to come. The searches lasted four days and involved about 300 operatives.
The drone spotted him near the waterfall. He was very dirty and weakened, but without serious injuries.
McClish guarantees he won’t be going out again anytime soon.
