According to a CNN poll that organized the debate, 96% of Republican voters credited their candidate with the victory, while only 69% of Democrats gave Biden the victory.
While the network notes that the poll reflects only the opinions of viewers, not the electoral universe, it is clear that the Republican candidate for the White House has done better. Another striking example is the fact that 36% of respondents now express greater confidence in Trump’s ability to return to leadership, compared to just 14% who express the same feeling about Biden.
