They robbed young people in Jardim do Campo Grande in Lisbon, riding rented bicycles and threatening their victims with a gun. Four young people, aged between 16 and 19, had already been stopped by PSP officers who detained them in Alvalade last week. The young people, who have a criminal record for several robberies, were brought to trial but were released with the obligation to report to the authorities every week.
The latest robbery took place on Tuesday at 11:55 p.m. The suspects surrounded a 19-year-old man who was walking in Jardim do Campo Grande and returning home. Under threat, he handed over his bank card and documents. He reported the attack to a nearby police patrol, who alerted other media via radio. Two suspects riding rented bicycles were found nearby and detained. The others were intercepted shortly after. The blitz gun was seized. All four are suspected of another robbery in the same location.
