The US President believed that the Supreme Court’s decision on Donald Trump sets a “dangerous precedent” by determining that any head of state “can freely ignore the law” without facing consequences.
“Now the American people must do what the Supreme Court should have done. The American people must judge the conduct of Donald Trump,” Joe Biden said in White House statements and in an attempt to mobilize voters for the November election.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday granted partial immunity to former President Donald Trump in the Capitol attack case, ruling that the president’s “official” actions are protected, but not his “unofficial” ones.
