They were so young and they had a future ahead of them.” These are the words of Safira Matos, an employee of the Lamas de Mouro campsite in Melgaço, where Cláudio Silva, Gabriel Garella, Sara Servio and Rita Afonso (whose funeral will take place this Tuesday in Russas) are staying, four young people, all 19 years old, who died in a car accident on Sunday, were spending the weekend. There were two other young women in the car, who were in serious condition and remain in the Viana do Castelo hospital.
