Angola’s Health Minister Silvia Lutucuta announced in an interview with Lusa this Wednesday that her ministry plans to hire 8,000 new health workers, including doctors, every year until 2027, if financial conditions exist.
“The commitment of the state and the government is to hold new public competitions when financial conditions allow. We are currently accepting an additional quota of about 5,000 specialists, but it is guaranteed that by the end of the year we will accept more, but the goal is to accept 8,000 new specialists, including doctors, annually by 2027,” said Silvia Lutukuta.
An Angolan government official spoke to Lusa as part of her participation in the Euro-African Forum, an initiative of the Portuguese Diaspora Council association, which took place on Monday and Tuesday in Carcavelos, on the outskirts of Lisbon.
