A 74-year-old man died this Wednesday after an accident with a farm tractor in the town of Vale de Ourem, Batalha. The victim got lost, rolled over and ended up under the vehicle. Emergency services were called to help the seriously injured man, but nothing could be done on arrival and he was pronounced dead on the spot.
For what CM It turns out the man immigrated to the United States for several years and when he returned to Portugal, he worked as a driver for the Fatima tourist trains. It has now been repaired.
Fifteen local firefighters and an INEM helicopter were called to the scene. GNR is investigating the cause of the accident. The incident was reported at 15:00.
