Former Manchester United player Andrei Kanchelskis was allegedly punched in the eye while watching Spain’s game against England in the European Championship final at a bar in Moscow, Russia, reports “Mirror‘.
The incident occurred after Andrey exchanged insults with another person who was also watching the match.
Despite calling an ambulance, the former English Premier League striker was not taken to hospital. Andrey shared his injuries on social media.
“I am fine now. It was a small conflict, we clashed over interests after the Euro final. I want to emphasize that the conflict was not over a football match, but over a personal issue,” Kanchelskis said. The Russian SE agency added that he had filed a police report.
