Former US President Barack Obama told his allies that Joe Biden should reconsider his candidacy in the North American presidential elections.
According to Washington PostThe Democrat, who led the United States from 2009 to 2017, believes that the likelihood of Biden’s re-election is becoming increasingly slim.
The current president’s candidacy has come under fire from some Democrats who feel Biden, who was recently diagnosed with Covid-19, is unfit to lead the country.
Biden, for his part, has already guaranteed that he would consider dropping out of the White House race only if he is diagnosed with health problems. “I think the only thing that age brings is a little wisdom. I have demonstrated that I know how to do things for the country,” he explained in an interview.
On the other side of the fence, Donald Trump’s Republican rivals have already joined the candidate in an effort to gain votes and return the former president to Washington.
Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis expressed their “full support” for the party’s presidential nominee on Tuesday night.
